Copper wire roots wrapped around a labradorite stone

About YanKa

YanKa makes pendants in the wire-wrapping technique: natural stones are held in place by wire alone, bent and woven by hand, without glue, casting or moulds.

Each stone is chosen for its own colour and pattern. The wire frame is then shaped around it, so the finished piece fits that stone and only that stone. That's why nothing in the shop is made twice.

Two collections

Tree of Life: a tree with branches and roots twisted from many fine strands of wire, spread across the stone.

Filigree: coils, scrolls and woven bails that frame the stone and leave its surface open to the light.

Care

Take the pendant off before swimming, showering or sport. Store it in its box away from moisture, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Copper darkens naturally over time; a jewelry polishing cloth brings the shine back.
